Unpacked

Featuring work by the RCA’s Design Products Department, the Unpacked travelling exhibition sought to bring together the design values and engineering principles of students working in different departments. The design of the show employed the crates used for transporting the artwork for displaying it, while the signage and labelling used the despatch notes. The poster/catalogue played with this idea further, by creating type-generated representations of the pieces, and the three shades of paper common to delivery notes and their carbon copies.
