Italian Cultural Institute London

Concept and design for the Italian Cultural Institute’s programme of events in London. To contrast the entirely typographic bulk of the programme, the introductory pages are used as a ‘gallery’ to present a series of images by writer/photographer Dave Foster. Consisting of arcades, street corners, or doorways this visual introduction is printed on matt art paper, contrasting the recovered stock of the remaining pages. Further Italian ‘touches’are given through the use of a serif typeface for the copy, Latin numerals for the page numbers and an elegant, pocket-sized format.
